VITEX FIRE RESISTANT EMUSION PAINT
White, fire resistant emulsion paint, suitable to protect walls and concrete surfaces against fire. It is certified by LGAI Technological Center S.A. Barcelona and approved by the Greek Fire Department.
Vitex Fire Resistant Emulsion Paint is a white waterborne emulsion paint ideal for the protection of walls and concrete surfaces against fire. In fire situations the paint mass expands offering protection to the coated surface. During the fire situation, the material withstands the fire resistant characteristics of integrity and thermal insulation for a long period of time, corresponding to the film thickness of the paint applied.
• Certified by LGAI Technological Center S.A.
• Approved by the Greek Fire Department
FIRE RESISTING ABILITY
Vitex Fire Resistant Emulsion Paint is certified by LGAI Technological Center S.A. according to UNE EN 13501-2:2004 standard and is approved by the Greek Fire Department. Taking under consideration the technical characteristics of the substrate and the requirements of UNE EN 31364-1, UNE EN 1363-1 and UNE 13501-
2 standards the product is classified as El 240. This means that the paint protects the coated surface for 240 minutes (4 hours) when is applied on a quantity of 2 Kg/m2 (approximately 1000 microns).
COLOURS
Available in white.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Water dilution percentage 0-10%
- Application by brass
- Application by roller
- Application by Spray gun
INSTRUCTIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surfaces should be smooth, clean and dry, free from grease, dust, loose or flaking paint.
New surfaces made of plaster, concrete, cement, plasterboard, etc. should be first primed with Acrylan Unco Eco.
APPLICATION
Stir well before use. Apply one, two or three layers, depending on the required fire protection class, by roller, brush or airless spray gun diluted up to 10% with water. Then apply one layer of final finish decorative coating, if necessary. After opening, the product must be immediately used. Do not apply at temperature below 5°C, above 35°C and / or relative humidity above 80%.
It is touch-dry after 4-6 hours for a film of 680 μm applied at 25oC. Total drying time is 6-36 for a film of 680 μm, applied at 25oC. It can be recoated after 4-24 hours for a film of 680 μm, applied at 25oC. Final coat can be applied after 24 hours, if necessary. Drying time depends on weather conditions (humidity and temperature).
The spreading rate and thickness per coat depends on the required fire protection class.
Thickness of dry film in relevance with thickness of wet film applied on a surface:
Brush: dry film thickness / layer: 200/300μm (300-450 μm liquid)
Roller: dry film thickness / layer: 200/270 μm (300-400 μm liquid)
Airless spray gun: dry film thickness / layer: 680 μm (1000 μm liquid)
Tools must be cleaned immediately after use with water and if needed with soapy water or a detergent.
